| Rod wrote "The Right Place and Other Stories"
by staying late nights in his basement deep into the cold of the 2003 winter,
as he tapped away at the computer key board and perpetuated his insomnia. Rod
sent the manuscript to one publisher -which sent him a contract a few months later.
Now, Barnes & Noble sells it, as well as Philippine Expressions, Amazon, the
MagNet (in Manila). And it's studied by advance fiction writing students at the
Ateneo University. Rod has done successful readings in different venues
in D.C. including the Library of Congress. He also has done readings in Honolulu,
L.A. Chicago and Manila. Look out for a new story this Christmas 2005 at
a Manila literary magazine. The story is called "Aurora's Song."
