HI Rod

Thank you so much again. ..Let me share what a lot of our employees and managers had to say about ... your group in particular. You have heard the initial comments from many of them who came around to tell you they appreciated and enjoyed your music. I hope your performance here at the USDA has opened more doors and opportunities for more future performances.

Some of the many comments -- magnificent!! spectacular!! and they're asking me where they might reach you. Let me know if I can share your phone number with them.

More compliments on the May 2, 2007 performance

Hi Rod,

Thank you so much again. I can only relate to the trouble of you and your children had to go through to honor a commitment to perform at our APA Heritage Month opening ceremony. I'm referring to them getting up so early last Wednesday to be at our site before 8am, missing school, the waiting time for security processing, the burden of carrying the load (musical
instruments/equipment), and a lot more.

Let me share what a lot of our employees and managers had to say about ... your group in particular. You have heard the initial comments from many of them who came around to tell you they appreciated and enjoyed your music. Good evening Rod:

First, congratulations on raising such wonderful children. In this day and age, that is a feat worthy of the highest recognition. Second, congratulations on a wonderful performance - although I think your young son stole the show with his stage presence.

Dear. Mr. Garcia,

My name is Nefra Faltas, and I am a senior undergraduate philosophy and biology student at George Mason University. I also happen to serve as Chair of the GMU Philosophy Club, and having brainstormed over the past few months with Dr. Holman regarding tentative guest lecturers, I am writing to inquire if you would be interested in speaking for us sometime this semester, perhaps in early March. I understand from Dr. Holman that you are...quite the renaissance man, and while we would welcome a talk on any subject of your choosing, may I inquire if you might be willing and able to speak on the relationship between philosophy and music (which would be a most creative and refreshing topic for students!), a topic in philosophy of literature, or some issue concerning the philosophy of law?

Thank you very much, and I look forward to hearing from you soon.

Kind regards,

Nefra Faltas

Hi Rodney,

I found the songs in http://www.myspace.com/rodgarciaband
and enjoyed all of them. Sana ma upload mo lahat.

Ang gaganda ng mga boses ng singers. Wide ang range na abot ng daughter
mo. Nag-voice culture ba siya?

Luto, Linis, Laba - nakakaaliw

Best is Yet to Come - ang galing ng saxophone.

Lately - I like the part about changing the point of view & being there to
free me
from my mind.

Complicated - again, ang galing ng sax - crisp & clear.

Thanks,
Ric

Hello Everyone especially Rodney & the Band,

Just to let you know how much we enjoyed the concert last night. Thanks God for all your musical talents. How you have touched us with the beautiful compositions and you reminded us of our college days when we were crazy playing the guitar. I told Gitter to get out the CD's quick so we can listen to it. 'Luto, Linis, Laba' is awesome and is a reminder of the daily wifely chores but 'Nasaan' stole my heart. Please tell the band members how we appreciate and how proud we are. Best of all thank you for being a big part of the cause for Feed the Hungry. May God bless all of you for having servant hearts to answer the cry of the poor and may your Band continue to bring our motherland closer to us through your performances.

Thank you and God Bless,

Judith

way to go ROD. i've been dreaming of writing a book about the people, the places and the events that touched my life especially the life i spent in the rural areas in the philippines and how it affected me even now that i am married and living in my adopted country. i always tell my daughter (she is 10 years old now) about how life was back then - the river, the farms, the patintero, the moonlight, the ate's and the kuya's, the lolo's and lola's etc. so someday when i am gone she would go back to the country where i was born and remember where her mother came from - the genuine hospitality of the people, the warm smiles, the kindness, the closeness of the family . i still have to read your book but based on the review i am looking forward to getting one ...good luck and may you have many more books to come.
