Thank you for inviting me to your "book reading". I felt so honored. I am enjoying the book so much. My question is...after the successful play "Hacienda", when will "The Right Place" come to life on stage? Please do not wait too long! Regards to your beautiful family. Your forever friend, Nory

Lived in California for about 7 years before migrating to England last 2002 when I married an British/English gentleman in Vegas. Not many Filipinos in my area though and miss my family in Los Angeles and San Francisco, Filipino Community Activitists and Filipino Foods as well. I'm an educator by profession and was a faculty member at the University of the East, Recto, Manila College of Arts and Sciences and College of Education in the mid 80's before migrating to the US. Have not read your book and requested my sister to get me a copy. Another Filipino Literary genuis we can be proud of. Congratulations! Yours respectfully, Remy

way to go ROD. i've been dreaming of writing a book about the people, the places and the events that touched my life especially the life i spent in the rural areas in the philippines and how it affected me even now that i am married and living in my adopted country. i always tell my daughter (she is 10 years old now) about how life was back then - the river, the farms, the patintero, the moonlight, the ate's and the kuya's, the lolo's and lola's etc. so someday when i am gone she would go back to the country where i was born and remember where her mother came from - the genuine hospitality of the people, the warm smiles, the kindness, the closeness of the family . i still have to read your book but based on the review i am looking forward to getting one ...good luck and may you have many more books to come.

Rod agreed to present one of our topics at the Association of Filipino Accountants Inc Seminar. The topic was on Estate Planning. He was very much well received by the audience as he was able to tailor the presentation to their needs. He's been doing presentations for us as a service to the Filipino-American community in Washington D.C. for a number of years now and everytime he's done a great job. Thanks Kuya Rod!

My sister in law who writes for the Philippine Historical Society saw that you were a theater person and suggested we connect. I do theater work for CIRCA -center for Immigrant Resources and Community Arts founded by the same dynamic lady who founded the Filipino theater group in Chicago, PINTIG. Heared of Angela (Ging) Mascarenas? If you plan to come to Chicago, do give me a call before hand if you have the time to meet so we can share ideas and learn from one another. You might want to meet with people in theater here too. My contact numbers are 847-2636136 (home) or 847-6681743 cell. Padma
