I thought I saw the summer dancing on the frozen lake
          Yesterday
She snapped a twig off from a tree and offered it to me
          Went on her way
          I never knew her name
          I only know she came

          When the winter overstayed
While summer breezes filled my mind
          And I remembered seaside songs
That I set free once upon a time
She brought them back to me
And made me want to see

          Oh summer girl
          Be the one
          Bring your smile
          Be the sun
          Summer girl
          Be the breeze
          Bring your whisper
          To the trees,
          Summer girl.

          Now in fading afternoons
I strum until the moon comes into sight
I hum the star-bright night away
Until the dawn breaks into day
          I see the light
Though she’s not here with me
          And summer finds me free
          I’ll search again
          Until I find
          Sweet summertime.
